Improve Spelling

Syllable Savvy Spelling will improve spelling with its score soaring simple technique.

Syllable Savvy Spelling uses the three column method of spelling to improve spelling abiilty and maximize students' success.

See How It Works

When words are broken down syllable by syllable, the student more easily notices the letter patterns and the correct number of letters in each syllable. This will improve spelling ability as well as increase performance on spelling tests.

More information on how this technique will make your student a better speller.

THEMES

Each grade level has a theme with approximately 4 words per week from that theme. The themes for each grade are:

  • Third Grade - Common household words
  • Fourth Grade - US States and Capitals
  • Fifth Grade - Books of the Bible
  • Sixth Grade - Nations of the World and their Capitols
  • Seventh Grade - Scientific Terms
  • Eight Grade - Government Terms

The last two levels (seventh and eight grade) can be used for many high school students who need additional work with spelling techniques.

Spelling Lists
Each Syllable Savvy level has 30 weekly lessons.

Each lesson has 15 words, with five blank spaces to include additional words the student may need help with. (Words recently misspelled in writing assignments or words from unit studies, etc.)
