Me? Build a website?

As a basically low-tech person, I am the last person anyone would have expected to build a website. I'm a midwife, I cook on an iron skillet, and don't use micro-waves. In fact, I have been TV free for decades. My family joked that I didn't get my first cell phone until after most of the Amish children in Central Pennsylvania got them. Plus I hate computers.

After I started offering homeschool books, I was constantly asked, "Do you have a website?" Convinced it was needed in today's world, my husband obtained the services of a reputable web hosting company and put up our first website.

Traffic: zero
Results: pathetic

At some point, we heard about Site Build It. My husband purchased the package, but this time he wanted me to build it. The nerve! It took me six months to even look at the action guide. But that's when the fun started.

Ten months later, this is my website. I still consider myself a newbie. But within one month it generated more traffic than my first site did in two years. Moreover, I have had fun building it (okay, not ALL the time - but most of the time.)
