Christmas decorations as a family tradition

Christmas is a special time of the year and our family has developed a tradition of making Christmas tree ornaments. Every year we do a different type of art project. This year we painted gingerbread men, last year we did bead work, the year before we did clay. One of our favorites was making stained glassed ornaments. This gives experience in a variety of crafts. I often wonder what we haven't done; but it seems there is always another craft modality to learn. Much of the time, we make enough extra ornaments so that all visitors to our home during the Christmas season are given an ornament from our tree.
